Its a gorgeous cool toned bright red with glitter, perfect for people with cool or neutral leanjng cool undertones. It's not a super fine glitter that Id call a shimmer, but it's not a big chunky childlike glitter either, its subtle but noticeable. It's the quality you'd expect from China Glaze, I'll update in a few days to share how long lasting it was with a base and top coat! Review: Best red polish China Glaze has to offer - I bought the color Ruby Pumps and it is a beautiful red jelly micro-glitter polish that I think everyone should get. To start, the formula is one of China Glaze's best. It's not too thick or too thin, glides on the nail smoothly, no pooling, no brush strokes and levels out nicely. The red jelly base is pretty opaque on the first coat, but is definitely a 2-3 coater if you want full opacity. As for the micro-glitter, it's red, really fine and shows through the jelly base, especially in daylight. Really sparkly! However, like most red polishes and micro-glitter polishes for that matter, it's really messy to remove but at least I haven't had any staining after removal. Not a deal breaker by any means. As for wear, the polish lasted me a good 5-6 days til chipping starts to occur so decent wear time. Note: I use OPI base coat and Seche Vite top coat. Overall, Ruby Pumps is one of China Glaze's best classic polishes and my 2nd favorite red in my collection (1st being OPI Danke-Shiny Red).
