The picture showed two clips side by side. Presumably the left item shows the product with the red lights off and the right shows the LED lights operating. There are two modes to the light. If you hit the button once, then all three red LED lights stay continuously on. Hit the on button a second time and the light begins flashing. The lights are very bright. I bought the clip to hook to the back of my running cap to increase my visibility. It works great for that. The clip is a little difficult to get off and on clothing, but that does not affect me. I use a Cyclops Micro Mini on the front of the hat and find that the two coupled with my Nathan reflective vest do the trick for me.
