Microsoft 3500 Wireless Mobile Mouse - Magenta Pink. Comfortable design, Right/Left Hand Use, Wireless, USB 2.0 with Nano transceiver for PC/Laptop/Desktop, works with Mac/Windows Computers

I have had a Dell wireless mouse for several years and gave it, along with my old laptop, to my husband; so I needed a new wireless mouse. I decided to get a bright pink one because 1) he won't touch it, 2) I will be able to find it more readily among the stacks of books, magazines and crap that accumulates on my end table and 3) I love pink ! The design is different than what is pictured here. The color is more reddish, and only the top piece - the cover part that moves up and down when you click, is pink. The plastic piece that surrounds the wheel is also black (not pink as shown). It's a bit smaller than I expected, but fits nicely in the palm of my hand, and I do not have petite hands. It would be very useful if the manufacturer had included a picture of a person's hand on the mouse. The wheel moves very smoothly in a step fashion (not continuous) and the mouse clicks are quiet. The mouse tracks well on every surface I've tried it on (I know it won't work on glass or any highly polished surface so haven't even tried). Installation couldn't be easier; in fact the most difficult part of the whole process is prying the mouse and USB dongle out of the packaging. Just slide off the back cover, pop in the included battery, plug in the USB transmitter and the mouse is instantly recognized by the computer. (I'm running Windows 8.1). I am accustomed to turning the mouse off at the end of the day to preserve battery life; nevertheless when I travel, I always carry a spare battery, because these things die with no warning whatsoever, and I HATE having to use the built-in mousepad on the laptop. I have a tendency to knock the mouse on the floor quite frequently, and my previous Dell unit would always split open and I would have to put the top back on. This one is a single piece unit, so should stand the abuse better. Highly recommended, and at the price I'm going to order another one right now for my work laptop - maybe blue?

Maybe it's just being old and not wanting to start using a new style of mouse, but this is my third one of this version, and I still love it. It fits my hand well, is easy to use the wheel to scroll, and the buttons are responsive. I don't even notice it being in my hand, that's how comfortable it is. It just fits naturally. My original lasted about nine years, and I only gave it up when the wheel stopped being responsive. I tried a re-furbished version, but that was a mistake because it started having problems fairly soon after I got it. Still, I probably spend somewhere between six and eight hours a day using it, and it last three years before it was just too frustrating to keep using. I way over-paid for this because it's not being made anymore, but it was worth it, even if I wound up with a pink one--you earn some credibility with students when you're willing to use a pink mouse. If this was still readily available, I'd have several of them put buck for the future. It is a nice mouse.

Just received my wireless mouse in the mail, and I LOVE IT! I'm using right now as we speak. It was really easy to setup all you do is plug in the mini transceiver (USB) and that's it, you should be able to use you wireless mouse. It functions really well too! No lag at all when your moving the mouse.There is a storage under the mouse for your USB mini transceiver if you don't want to loose it. There is also a on and off button that will come in handy when conserving the battery. It also comes with a Duracell double AA battery so that's great too! Overall I love this cute wireless mouse. Everything about it is great! I would recommend anyone wanting to buy a wireless mouse to buy this one. AWESOME! 5 STARS!

Great mouse, recommend for ladies because it is small. Works really well for a basic mouse. However - the dissappointment is the ease of use to put away the USB chip and to get the battery out. Story: My previous mouse I broke the USB chip that goes into my laptop because I left it in and then dropped my laptop bag, causing the chip to break off (I do this 3 times a year). So I ordered the same model mouse to replace my broken one (using Amazon's software to find previous purchases and easily re-order). However, even though I ordered the same product - (Microsoft 3500) the new mouse doesn't have the same battery compartment as the previous one. My old mouse had a place to put the USB chip easily into the bottom AND it had an easy latch to replace the battery. The usb chip hole was right next to the battery compartment and the battery compartment had an easy lever to pull the cover off. The new one I received I have to remove the battery cover to put the USB chip in and removal of the cover requires a long nail and some searching for the clip to finally get it off - total PIA. Don't understand why they description is the same (Microsoft 3500) when the model is SOOO different.

I ordered this mouse for my laptop in Magenta Pink. It is small enough for me to put into my laptop bag along with my laptop with no problems. People with larger hands may not want to use this mouse since it is a bit small. I had no problems using this mouse with or without a mouse pad, it does just fine on glass and every surface I've used it on; everything is very responsive and easy to maneuver. The receiver is tiny which is good for people like me, who forget it's there and pack their laptops with it still in. Also there is an on/off switch on the bottom of the mouse to help extend battery life; I always forget it's there so I rarely use it. I'll update this review when this mouse finally goes out on me. So far I absolutely love this mouse and the color/design selection!

What can I say? Works on any surface, light and fits the hand great, plus it's Pink! Great price for a mouse that can travel easily and has excellent tracking with no lag. Small enough to serve as a travel mouse, but big enough to be full sized. I like to use the mouse on my leg and it works well on any surface at any angle. Excellent choice.

The scroll wheel stopped working within weeks. Poor quality.
