To enjoy the maximum benefit only use the black nubbed side against hot surfaces. Our unique FLXaPrene material helps you safely remove hot food from the oven to the table. Made of a non-porous material that stops bacteria growth, and prevents stains that cause bacteria buildup, the mitts are heat-resistant 500 F/260 C to -134 F/-92C. Overall, I like them, and the fact that they're made in the US.  However, I find that the material that borders the outside of the stitching tends to get into the food as I am removing the dish from the oven.  Other than that, I like their sure grip and heat protection.

I love that these gloves are slim, not bulky like cloth gloves, but truly heat proof.  I'm on my second pair,  after at least two years, and so glad I bought an extra.
