It was basically easy to use, just a matter of technique, and I think soon I will be faster. It appears to be pretty heavy duty, and did not struggle to get the drum lids cut off. I am looking to avoid the jagged edges other cutters leave.** A: It opens the end of the drum much like an old manual can opener. It fit so tight I didn't think it was going to work, but after a bit of determination it does a very smooth job with no jagged edges unless the rim of the drum is bent. It's a bit harder there. One much cheaper and Blue, one much more money and claimed to leave no burr. They both are now in our recycle bin after only one day. This one works!!!
