You can definitely display audio frequency sinewaves and therefore I would presume you could measure the frequencies. I'm no expert in using oscilloscopes, but I put this together and got it running. It's important to read the instructions in regards to the power supply. It took me a while to get the right power supply. But once sorted, it performs very well for my purposes. There's a custom case available which I've ordered.
