My one-touch lancet device of 15 years finally gave out. This lancet device works great as a replacement. **Q: How long is this lancing device? I am looking for one that will fit in my bgm case.** A: about 3 inches **Q: What is the sharpest settings, 1 or 5?** A: The devise setting (1 - 5) is how deep the needle will penetrate your skin. If you have thin skin, then a lower setting should be your choice but we recommend that you start with a higher setting and work you way down. This set also includes 4 different gauge lancets (from 26g being the thickest to 33g being the thinnest). So if you have really thick or calloused skin, your right settings would be # 5 on your lancing device and using a 26g lancet.
