Parts are too hard to find. Thirty years ago we bought directly from Cona in England. Keep searching on ebay. **Q: Can the coffee be made on the stove, or is the wick burner the only way to make it?** A: In principle it could be put on a gas burner, provided the flat Ø 8cm ( equals 3.25 inch) bottom of the pouring bowl is properly supported. This would for example be the case if the stove is actually an electric ceramic plate. We suppose, but are not certain, that the bakelite handle won't get hot from radiation heat. It is a common mistake to think to bring tapwater to boiling point with the alcohol burner must take a very long time. It doesn't if the flame of our alcohol burner only has to provide that 'final push'. Our laboratory quality glass withstands pouring boiling water straight from an electric kitchen kettle into it.
