A: The charging port of your Nintendo DS may not be fully functioning. If that is the case then your DS will need a new motherboard because the solderinng has become damaged. As for the battery, it is very possible that the battery has a dead cell or is damaged altoghether. The battery you may have recieved may also be beyond its shelf life. Just to be sure double check the installation of the battery, both new and old. Ensurre you close the device properly and conduct a startup after charging it.
