I use this backpack daily for getting around school and town. I use the bottom concave section to hold my 750ml camelbak water bottle with the boblbee cargo net on. Looks futuristic and I get compliments/questions daily on campus about it. Mine is gloss black and isn't as noticeable as a brightly colored one but definitely an attention getter and a conversation starter!It fits my Macbook Pro 13" perfectly inside the laptop compartment, and the macbook pro 15" fits in the laptop compartment BUT the top won't close very easily with a 15" macbook pro. With my 13" macbook pro, textbook, 2 binders, several folders, and a full water bottle up front it really takes the weight off the back/shoulders when adjusted just right. The padding on the back is heavenly comfortable! The backpack is designed to put all the weight higher up on your back, unlike a normal backpack that puts all the weight on your lower back. This magical design makes it comfortable to wear for hours.Living in Fairbanks, Alaska for school and this works PERFECTLY in those -60 degree winters where you're paranoid about slipping on ice! It'll take some HARD hits on ice without hurting it or you. I've taken it on the slopes while snowboarding and used the laptop compartment to house my camelbak and it worked great, except for the awkward camelbak straw placement.I kept it mostly empty while boarding and it was so light I just used it for the back protection while learning to snowboard. It "says" it can hold your snowboard/skis and yes thats true, however the odd weight placement feels uncomfortable after a while and looks goofy as hell. Just carry your board/skis-I remember searching for days for the perfect backpack. I took the chance on this one and I'm so glad I did! You may think it's a little pricey but trust me, It's WELL WORTH IT! I love my Boblbee!!!! I take it everywhere. This bag is a CE-Certified Level 2 (highest level) back protector, and I don't think I've ever had as many compliments or questions about anything I've owned as I've had with this bag.One caveat: This bag really doesn't hold all that much. It'll take a laptop, one or two textbooks, and maybe a few other assorted trinkets.
