I use them in conjunction with a North Road-type touring bar rather than the drop bar that came with the bike. Do read the instructions very carefully, though, because it's not readily apparent what it is they're telling you to do.There are two pictures in circles: one picture shows how to configure linear pull brakes; the other picture shows how to configure non-linear pull brakes (including cantilevers). It took me a little while to figure out that they were showing where to position the hinge for the nipple-holder. Once you understand this fine point configuring for your brakes is a snap!Tektro levers are first-cabin stuff IMHO.
