**Q: Does this make a timer noise when done?**
A: Yes.  I love this little timer.  I carry it with me to another room if I am afraid I will miss the sound when my eggs are done.

**Q: is the pin or puncture hole visible? I believe that I may have received a unit without a piercing pin.**
A: You don’t see the pin. You sit the egg on top and push down and then the pin comes up and punctures the egg. You don’t see it. You can feel it puncture and see the hole it makes in the egg.

**Q: Mine didn't come with instructions. Do you get the water boiling first and then add the egg and start the timer?**
A: Yes. Boil your water, add the eggs, and start your timer. This will be one of the best kitchen aids you've bought. I love mine. My eggs come out perfect everytime.

**Q: What is the exact time range for the timer?**
A: I don’t know the exact time. But I have used it to make large, extra large, and jumbo they all came perfectly. The timer goes by the size of the egg and how hard the eggs are cooked. Soft to hard

These are good little egg cookers that make it almost painless to have a scrambled egg/omlette for breakfast. They are just deep enough to whisk the ingredients in and cook them in one minute (at 900w/one and a half minutes for two eggs), and the cover ensures that you don't have to worry about the roof of your microwave being caked in napalmed egg afterwards. A little oil (sprayed then brushed) around the base also means that they clean pretty much instantly. The finished result is a perfectly round "cake" that fits inside a muffin, bun or mini wrap. I tried to "fry" an egg in it, but it seems you have to constantly check on the state, so, IMO, it isn't really worth the hassle.

Well made and appears to be built to last. I was pleasantly surprised at how well this timer works, it's taken a bit of trial and error to get the exact cooking amount I want, perfect result every time now.
