This kit was easy to build and came with illustrated instructions, much like Lego instructions. She needed some assistance in building it to be sure parts were in the correct direction, but other than that any child with some parental help could build it. It took about 15 - 20 minutes to unpack and build. The completed product looks great and actually moves! You lock a lever, turn a gear to tighten a spring, unlock the lever and it flies! Well, it's wings flap, but it's very cool!
