Keeping the boy happy....
My son prefers this reed, says it sounds the best.

Garbage
Literally a semitone flat and couldn't be fixed. The sound is full at the very bottom of the range, but above that is sounds terrible, and high notes wouldn't come out at all. I tried clipping and adjusting the reed but I wasn't able to make any real improvement. This might be salvageable if you have great reed adjusting skills, but if you're looking for something that will just play as is, don't buy this.

Bassoon reed is well made but needs to be trimmed and scraped to fit my playing needs and style.
