The accuracy and resolution are great in both, auto scan using the turntable or free scan using the tripod. The software is easy to use and has some good scan repair features. It’s been able to scan almost everything I’ve needed to scan. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Decent scanner *by K***S on February 9, 2020* So far this scanner has scanned objects that I have attempted to scan. I had a shiny metal object that scanned much better after I coated it in baby powder. The image I've uploaded is a hood ornament that I was able to scan in and was cleaned up in meshmixer. The post scan surface had a rough texture but was able to flatten out smooth in meshmixer. I knocked off 1 star for the 1990's out dated appearance software that comes with the unit. The USB connections seem to be finicky. Every time I setup the unit the camera doesn't work and then I move my USB connections around and it works. If I had to choose again I would have gone with the much cheaper EP unit.
