I was trying to find petri dishes ready to go, but they were so much more money, and we just wanted to do it once. We made as per instructions, and it seemed to work okay with stuff growing, but just not as good as the ones I remember from childhood that were super sensitive and grew all kinds of bacteria and stuff, so I guess don't expect results like the professional physician type.
