Good for beginners, might be problematic as mod platform
I already have a Player Telecaster, but I wanted to put together a more vintage take on the Telecaster. I went with the Bullet over the Affinity in this case, because of the pre-drilled string holes. If youโre a guitar modder, the Fender bridge plates will not fit without some mods. The plate itself is 5 hole, 3 along the saddle hole edge, and two near the front; most Fender parts are going to be 4 hole. The routing for the bridge pickup and the string holes are a bit off from the Fender ashtray plate as well. I think it can be solved by routing the bridge p/u cavity a quarter of an inch forward, but it may not be worth it just to go with Fender parts. In short, it may be a bit of a hassle to find replacement parts if modding. For anyone else, this is a fine guitar. The maple neck on the Affinity might be worth the money, but I do consider the thru body design part of the Telecaster tone and necks are probably the simplest piece to change out down the road. The Tele itself is very versatile without a complicated control setup nor tremolo, so I would highly recommend for beginners regardless of genre. If you have an extra $50, and want a guitar that has a little more versatility in the long run, in tone and function, I would suggest the Affinity Stratocaster or a knockoff design, something with a tremolo, an extra pickup, and a couple more control options. But for something simple and ready to rock out of the box, this is definitely a solid pick for the cost.

great value
Great guitar for beginners or upgrade project. Arrived unscathed and had a decent setup out of the box. Sounds fine. Great guitar to beat on while your more expensive guitars hang on the wall. I consider it my โdaily driver.โ I donโt have any other Teles to compare it to, but the neck pickup alone is quite muffled, and you can get a nice squeal from the bridge pickup. That can all be dialed in to taste with the tone knob and the pu switch. Zero complaints. I got this with the intention of upgrading everything over time. Itโs my first โprojectโ guitar ever. So far, Iโve done easy stuff like shielding the cavities, new pickguard, neck plate, tuners and strings. I plan on replacing the pickups, knobs and bridge eventually, but not in a hurry since these sound fine. Like me, if this is a project guitar for you, be gentle if you need to lift out the switch/knob plate. The soldering job on the pots & switch was weak and one of the wires popped out after a couple wiggles.

Good Bones for Joe Strummer Tribute Guitar
Not as high of quality and more expensive as compared to my Indonesian 2019 Squier Bullet Telecaster in Red Sparkle, but it did the trick for my Strummer project. It was the least expensive new sunburst with rosewoodesque fretboard that I could find. This one is a 2022, purchased in January of 2023. "Crafted in China." I dig the paradox/hypocrisy/synergy of the finished Chinese/British/American product. After all, Joe himself was not immune. He was about the freedom to do what you wanted while looking out for the other guy, which is the spirit of this homage. The guitar itself is good. It's a top loader bridge, not a string through like the 2019. Works fine. I kept the tuners and replaced the saddles with some better ones I had in my parts box. Plays fine. It needed a lot of TLC on the sharp fret ends. For the money I expected imperfection, but this fret work was particularly time consuming as they really sprouted out and were cut poorly. I replaced the ceramic pickups with Amazon-procured Fleor Alnico 5s. Did the same on my 2019. Nice pickups for the money and they do emulate the '60s Tele sound on the cheap. Made the strap cushion with animal print faux suede I found in an attic, using an eleven dollar Perri strap also sourced on Amazon. It took longer to stitch that on than it did to file the fret ends. It's Iconic Strummer on a budget. Used Grolsch strap locks too. Plays well, sounds good. I'm happy with it. Needed to spray grey primer over the sunburst and then black over that. Lots of sanding and bashing with chains and billiard balls. Sourced the stickers wherever I could find them. Time consuming but not expensive. Nice platform for this modification. Four stars for the Squier Bullet Telecaster. Perfectly good guitar. Thanks Amazon.

Great Telecaster Guitar
This guitar was originally purchased for our at the time 12 year old son. It was an alternative to his strat and Ibanez. After awhile both his stray and Ibanez became seldom used. This has been his go to guitar. First off right out of the box this guitar didn't need any adjustments! I mean it was even in tune and that's very rare. He hasn't had to do anything to this guitar and she's been good to him. He's now 14 and has a couple of higher end guitars and he just got a very cool semi-hollow but this tele has been his go to for most songs. He loves the feel of it, the sound and tone as well as its overall playability. Some of his guitars are prettier and some are more expensive but none have that glove in hand feel of this telecaster. Its a very durable guitar and holds up extremely well over time.

Plays like a $500 Guitar
It sounds very clean. Almost no noise when plugged into my amp. I love this squire bullet because it has that Classic telecaster tone a lot of guitarists enjoy. The neck feels smooth and the guitar was well set up. The action is not too high or too low. It sounds great clean and it can handle heavy distortion for rock and metal tones. Itโs an all around guitar with three way tone switch. My favorite is the bridge pickup for the classic telecaster tone.

Get what you pay for
Well it plays. Stock pickups have an unexciting tone. Body was in great shape and had a nice finish. the neck is definitely cheap, the frets are unfinished and gritty (expected for the price range), the tuners wobble around quite a bit. And of course the strings are cheap (also to be expected). Itโs pretty heavy as well but itโs a telecaster! All in all its not bad, a few upgrades and I think it would work for anybody.

Very POOR Guitar for the money
For starters, it took 3 tries to get this seller to ship the guitar to me in a box appropriate for shipping. The first 2 guitars arrived damaged. This one arrived correctly shipped, after reaching out to them requesting a real shipping box for the guitar. Unfortunately, the guitar is of very poor quality. The tuners do not keep the strings in tune at all. One strum of a chord and they immediately lose their tune. I have been using this guitar for a couple of months so it should have worn in by now. No such luck. The bridge pickup volume control is poorly soldered and makes crackling noises when rotating to increase and decrease volume. I waited to leave this negative review in hopes that my experience would change, but it hasn't. I emailed the seller asking if they would make an exception and refund me and they would not. Honestly, this did not surprise me considering how poor my ordering experience was with them in the first place. So now I am stuck with this awful guitar. My suggestion to anyone who is considering buying this guitar, is DON'T DO IT. And, do not buy from this seller unless you are 100% sure of what you are buying in the first place. Their shipping practices are lacking and it looks like they only deal in poor quality music equipment.
