Ours cane with instructions for the tavern..** A: Mine also came without instructions, this company has very poor quality control **Q: Can you paint it** A: Yes you can paint it. I have painted a couple of the other 3D wooden structures such as the boats and they look great. I liked how it looks unpainted but paint adds to the ambiance. But then again I have sunk thousands into other stuff such as trees, towns, dragons, etc. etc. etc. good luck making it great! **Q: If i buy multiple towers can i combine them?** A: Yes but you would not be able to use all of the parts because the top pieces are different but you at minimum should be able to add one or two floors to this tower system. Which brings up a good point - why didn’t I think of that and now I am purchasing another so that I can have a taller tower. I didn't glue it, but I can see how that would add to stability. All pieces cut well, no splintering. Took time to assemble, but not complicated. It's impressive in size on the game table, and sturdy. This is my first wood one. It went together pretty easy (about an hour I think). Some of the pieces do snap together harder than others. I only used a little glue, but you could probably get away without using any. It comes with joint pieces to hold the columns together. It is pretty sturdy once completed. One small piece did break. But I was able to fix it with gorilla glue and you can't even tell where the break is. The floors also have rooms, walls and items drawn on them. Plus it comes with a little wood figure and a base for the figure. My only criticism is that the instructions are printed in a small font which was hard to see with my bad eyes. It was fun to put together and I can't wait to use it in game. I think it would probably be a 70-80 foot drop for a mini.
