The tape should work fine. The more difficult part will be getting the correct signal level from your record player via the amplifier into the Akai. The next difficult thing will be finding a convenient way to play your music after the transfer. Why not go LP to digital so you can just play them from your computer? IE: reel to reel tape isn't any more convenient. It's fun and super cool but not convenient. **Q: Which reel in the picture does it come on? My reelto reel machine has small pegs for the reel so I need to make sure it's the reel with the small hole** A: The picture is somewhat misleading; it shows all the different widths of tape in the 911 series. If you need 1/4" tape on a 7" inch reel, then this is what you're looking for and it ought to fit your machine. **Q: and is it a 7inch reel?** A: Yes, 7" reel. **Q: Would this work with my teac 2300sx?** A: Yes, the 7 inch reels will work, but the 10 1/2 inch reels will not. ## Frequently Bought Together - RMG/EMTEC Studio Mastering Tape 911 Series 1/4 –Inch x 1200 Feet 7 - Inch - 1/4 7 Inch Empty Tape Reel, 3 Holes 7inch Open Reel Sound Tape Empty Reel, Aluminum Alloy Universal for Reel to Reel for TEAC (Blue) - Open Reel Audio Cleaning Tape for 1/4" Tape Decks 100 Second Play Time at 7.5 IPS New Item! --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.uk/products/1463630-rmg-emtec-studio-mastering-tape-911-series-1-4-inch](https://www.desertcart.co.uk/products/1463630-rmg-emtec-studio-mastering-tape-911-series-1-4-inch) --- *Product available on Desertcart United Kingdom* *Store origin: GB* *Last updated: 2026-11-02*
