The Cloud Microphones CL-4 Cloudlifter is a single rack-space four-input mic activator. The CL-4 is the ideal solution for common audio problems with low-output passive dynamic and ribbon microphones in the field or in the studio. It provides up to +25 dB of clean, transparent gain and works with any standard phantom-powered mixer or microphone input device. By keeping the direct audio path free and clear of transformers, capacitors, and resistors, the CL-4 greatly improves the performance of passive microphone signals for clean and professional sound. The easy to use, self-contained CL-4 comes in a rugged steel enclosure for shielding and durability. Suitable for a variety of applications, it can be used with noisy or low-gain preamps, mixers or preamps that negatively impact the sound at higher gain setting, acoustic instruments and voice, for long cable runs and more.
