## Description

Kryptonite Ultimate Front End Package Compatible with 2001-2010 Chevy/GMC 2500HD 3500HD

Review: Kryptonite products are the Best! - Kryptonite works great fit perfectly! Its Kryptonite product that pretty much says it all. Would purchase again. I also have the upper control arms.
Review: This is it, the proper beef if your running bigger tires - It fits what it says it fits, 2001-2010 Chevy/GMC 2500HD 3500HD. I have a 2003 Suburban 2500 4WD and it fits mint. I have gone through a few tie rods, and pitman and idler arms in the last few years. I ate up far fewer once I put the cognito pitman/idler arm braces on, the last set lasted twice as long with the braces but that's 1/6 of the way to just doing the whole job from top to bottom. I was honestly considering just getting the Kryptonite tie rods for the factory arms and then updating the pitman and idler and pitman mount since that is where my most play is currently, but for about the same you can get this whole kit. I was expecting the drag link to be beefy, but its a monster, it this kit probably adds 30-40lbs to the front end. I'm not joking, everything is an order of magnitude beefier and stronger than the stock parts. I didn't realize how bad my inner tie rods were until I removed the original parts. The idler arm mount was a bit tweaked in my truck from moving big all terrain tires around, I had to massage it a bit to get the current idler support out and this one in so I am glad to have the brace. I suppose you could drill holes and bolt it but I have a welder and I would spend way more time drilling holes and then access holes in the boxed frame or bigger holes and sleeving it just to bolt it in. It was much easier to just weld the brace in then finish painting black to match the frame. I bolted everything up and it was snug fit so I welded it up in place using the 4 holes as plug welds and then tacking the front and bottom edge. If you are going to bolt it you will need to provide your own bolts and figure out a solution to finish the mounting but I don't mind it welded one bit. It came with all the rest of the hardware including the anti-seize for the tie rod ends and the bolts for the idler arm support which were a bit bigger than the originals and made a very snug fit up. The only tricks to the install are to turn the wheel left or right (I went left) so you can get the heavy drag link on the pitman arm as its a lot bigger in diameter than the stock bar and would hit the diff trying to go directly in. Once its in and tight it clears nicely. Also the idler arm needs to be bolted on the support before you install the support or there is no way to easily hold the end and get the nut on once its in the frame. The rest is easy and unless you are pretty strong it helps to have a second set of hands. Don't forget to set the toe when you are done, even if you are going to take it for an alignment the calibrated eyeball can get it pretty good. I have a set of longacre tow plates so I set mine up myself and my original guess just looking at it before I put it back on the ground was dead on 1/16" toe in. I did have to make a few adjustments to get the wheel straight though. This took most of the play and random "hunting rabbits" ness out of the steering but there is still a bit of play in the steering gear, its not that old so I will live with it a while so my wallet can recover a bit, but keep in mind that you still may have other fish to fry.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Kryptonite, nothin more to say.......
*by B***D on October 18, 2022*

I bought this kit along with sway bar end links. My upper A arms will be here tomorrow. My front end will be virtually indestructible. Be aware, there is welding required, unless you like drilling through two pieces of 1/4" thick frame steel 8 times. I also purchased the Krypt lower ball joints and bought a Red Head steering box. I may have made it pretty much a tesla. Good new, I can sleep on the way to work. LOL.
