Heโs her darkest fantasy. . . After years of struggling, Haven Daly has finally accepted that sheโs nuttier than a fruitcake. Why else would she see visions of a beautiful but tormented male every night . . . and actually believe she can talk to him, even feel his touch? But thanks to those dream journeys, she can paint images nobody else on earth can duplicate. In each brush stroke, she captures the blatant masculinity and raw desire in his eyes that promise heโs coming for herโฆand soon. Sheโs the light that keeps him going. . . Quade Kayrs has already suffered a lifetime of pain and torture. Completely isolated, he kept his sanity thanks to one beautiful female, a vision with kind emerald eyes. In the end, her soft voice led him out of hell. Now, naked and alone, heโs in a strange world that bears little resemblance to the one he left behind. All he knows is Haven. All he wants is Haven. His final mission? To protect her from the evil hunting them bothโwhether she likes it or not . . . โSpicy romantic interplay; highly recommended.โ โ Library Journal on Vampireโs Faith โSizzling sex scenes and a memorable cast.โ โ Publishers Weekly on Claimed โA fast-paced, excitement-filled explosion of actionโฆ Zanetti keeps getting better.โ โRT Book Reviews on Marked , 4.5 Stars Top Pick Review: Phenomenal Book! - Wow, Wow, Wow!! I absolutely LOVE this series!! I don't know how Rebecca Zanetti is able to write all of these characters with their own individual and unique personalities and still keep her readers engaged and begging for more!! This story is just another success and I LOVED LOVED LOVED it!! This story is centered around Quade and Haven's relationship and let me tell you... it starts off hot and fast and it just keeps getting better!! The dynamics between Quade and Haven are simply fantastic. I love the sweetness and ... I don't know the correct word... maybe 'honesty' between Quade and Haven. I found myself (again) laughing, crying, and sucked into this world. I thoroughly enjoyed Quade thinking toothpaste is 'delicious' and wanting to acquire more so he could eat it all the time, the nod to the movie Airplane ("Don't call me Shirley"), and the reference to a rose ceremony. The subtle hints to 'daily life', that I could relate to (& I assume other readers will relate to), make this story even more enduring. I love how Quade & Haven both learned to trust and love again throughout this story. Sure, in real life there aren't vampires, witches, Fae, shifters, etc, however the relationships that are built throughout this series is what makes it so fantastic. If you haven't read any of the books in this series I would highly recommend you taking some time and diving in to this world... you definitely won't regret it!! Happy Reading (I can't wait for the next book in this series!!) Review: Almost as good as her earlier books - If you're reading this review I'm assuming you're already familiar with the series. I loved the original Dark Protector series. With the exception of the annoying vegan chick, all the women were cool people that you'd want to hang out with and I also liked all of the guys too. I loved the Realm Enforcer books and was so excited to read this new installment to Dark Protectors but unfortunately Faith was an unlikable airhead, Mercy was immature, and Promise had all the warmth and charisma of a rock. In this book I really liked Haven, even though she had some of the problems of the other girls. All the women in this new series do silly things to prove how modern and independent they are but it always results in them getting hurt and captured and the guy has to rescue them and injure himself. Some of the situations they find themselves in are very contrived. Haven can't fight but never listens when Quade tells her to stay out of the fighting. She thinks she can be his backup but inevitably she's nothing but a liability and a distraction to Quade when he's trying to protect them. Mercy also got hit in the head so many times in this book that you'd be forgiven for thinking that she's playing a game of whack a mole where she's the mole. The problem for me with this new addition is that these feel more like action books with romance shoehorned in. But back to this book, Haven is a likeable character and I liked Quade. Some of the things in the book didn't make sense, like how after learning about her heritage Haven didn't bother to try to learn how to use her abilities. Haven and Quade spend most of the book together and the other members of the Seven dont come in until about halfway through. Hope is in this book but unfortunately she doesn't have the charm of her mom, and I can't make myself care about her or how her story plays out. Janie was smart enough not to trust the Kurjans and knew they were the bad guys. Despite all that she's seen Hope still thinks everyone can be friends and that no one is bad and people need to talk or hug it out. Janie and Zane have failed that child. All in all the series isn't bad but it's not as great as her earlier books. I'm looking forward to Benny's book but have decided to skip Adare and Grace's story. She seems like the type to do dumb things to prove how independent she is and Adare will save her but she'll stay fighting him and common sense to prove what a modern woman she is until the end of the book. Independent doesn't equal stupid, especially when you're in a new world where they're powerful beings who want to kill you and you can't protect yourself because they are physically stronger and have superhuman abilities.

Another showstopper - loved it!
Part of the dark protectors series...you may be able to read as stand-alone but would get far more from having started at the beginning and why would you want to miss out on any of this amazing series?! This is a fast paced read that will make you laugh and smile at the hero and heroine. Haven is feisty, smart and independent, great to see her evolution of understanding of the new world she finds herself in. Quade of course is domineering, but in a sweet, protective way as is typical of these heroโs. Rebecca Zanetti has a great way of normalising her characters - I thought the toothpaste was a nice touch. The dialogue is punchy as usual and the story flows effortlessly - another page turner which will keep you enthralled to the end. Please, please, PLEASE could Adareโs story be next?! Iโm dying to hear about the gruff Scotsman ๐

Amazing & Captivating!
Loved this amazing story so much! Couldn't put it down! I only read three books in the series so far. But I had no doubt this one had to be the best! Quade and Haven were one of my favorite HEA couples. Both were so likable, so loving, and so perfect for each other. Together they were unstoppable against the enemies! Loved that Haven's gift of painting was such a magical weapon as well as crucial visions. There were so many captivating scenes: when Quade reunited with his surviving brothers and families, after thousands of years of suffering alone in hell; when he fought against enemies with modern weapons and won just by using his brain, physical strength and knives plus body armor of the Seven; and the best?; when he won Haven's heart and she agreed at last to be his forever mate. I'll definitely read the rest of the books in this amazing series!

Best
I truly love the whole series but kids was lost with the first seven started in the series but this book was great. It took me to some more imagination and worked out perfectly. There was just enough of the beginning books to know you were still in the series

My new favorite of the series!
2020 is off to a great start with one of my highly anticipated reads from a go-to author! NOTE: While it is possible to read Hero's Haven as a standalone, I recommend starting with Vampire's Faith for a better reading experience I will admit, some of the heroines in this series made me a little nutty but I absolutely love Haven! All her life she has been told she is either crazy or possessed, and she has finally come to accept crazy as her own answer. Painting is her escape and a means of coping with the visions from her dreams- particularly of one very tantalizing male. Every time life knocks her down, she finds a way to pick herself up and keep on moving forward. And oh boy does she need those skills when her dream world man somehow turns out to be real! Earth is nothing like the realm Quade remembers but he has lived lifetimes during his time trying to keep Ulric imprisoned. Cars, the internet, and even little things like toothpaste amaze him- and his slight obsession with toothpaste had me giggling quite a few times throughout this story! One thing has not changed, and that is his sense of duty. He knows he has to see the Seven's destiny through to the end which will likely mean his own death, so he is hesitant to accept that he may have found his mate after all these years. But it is such a tempting proposition that he is battling his own instincts. Revelations about Haven's origins, her abilities and her past astonish her but once again she finds a way to deal and adapt with a healthy dose of snarky banter and a lot of paint. And she absolutely knows the best way to push the buttons of one very alpha male intent on imposing his will for her own safety whether she likes it or not. Hero's Haven is my new favorite installment of this segment of the Dark Protectors series, hands down! I cannot wait to find out what comes next, but I see a re-read of this one in my not so distant future ARC received via NetGalley

Needs a little work
I love this series. It sucks you in with great characters and plenty of action. A better editor or something is needed, though. Things in this story change from time to time. For example, this book says only the vampires and demons know about the seven, but when the Fae president sent out the information there was a big blow up in the shifter nations.

A Fabulous Book For Rebecca Zanetti Fans of the Dark Protectors Series
Another remarkable read by Zanetti! I was anxiously awaiting this book and was not disappointed! This book begins exactly where the previous book, Alpha's Promise ended. Haven and Quade's story is one of my favorites. I laughed and cried reading about Haven's life and how she coped in a religious sect. The story begins immediately and is fast paced and non-stop action and suspense. Haven is the most unique mate of all and can travel to different worlds. Quade is a skilled badass that takes down any enemy, without failure, he never quits. Happily I can also see this series is expanding to include stories about The Seven. I can't wait for Faith and Adare's story! I have read every book in this series and it just keep getting better! I highly recommend this book and the entire series, you won't be disappointed!!!!
