The amount you need will depend on the distance between your TV and furniture. It was easy to use, it can create a snug fit depending on the number of cables and looks tidier. The quality is acceptable but I've deducted a star due to some fraying which occurred after trimming with scissors, this wasn't a major issue as it is hidden by the TV.
