Overview:  The byFormica MERCURY® Liquid Ant Feeder is an alternative style of liquid feeder for ants, and has been designed with ants in mind to bring you the absolute best gravity-assisted feeder ever made. This versatile feeder can be used with ants of any size, but is especially suited for ants that are respectable climbers.Two sizes for versatility: The one-inch-tall reservoir holds up to 2 CC of liquid feeding solution. In doing so, it fits into foraging areas where larger reservoirs either can't, or would be too cumbersome, and encourages the user to change the water regularly to prevent mold and bacteria. The tall 3" reservoir is ideal for mature colonies that have a larger, dedicated foraging area, and is ideal for keeping distilled water or Formula Green 600 available for several days.Made for ants: Other gravity-assisted liquid feeders have a large opening or trough from which ants drink the exposed liquid, often being sucked into the feeder or drowning. The MERCURY® Liquid Feeder features a fine mesh on the underside of the feeder, protecting ants from becoming an unintended victim of their food source.Leak resistant: As a defensive mechanism, many ants naturally place substrate on exposed liquids close to their nest. With liquid feeders, a potential consequence to this behavior is liquid from the feeder soaking into the substrate and flooding the foraging area or formicarium. Our patent-pending design discourages ants from placing substrate directly on the exposed liquid, prolonging the useful life of the liquid, and making accidents less likely.Perfectly compliments our Formula line of premium ant foods: Use with Formula Green 600 for problem-free feeding of sugar in a format that resists spoilage.* This product is not a toy, and is recommended for professional consumer use only.
