It does Digital so well, Analog (no self oscillation though), Lo-Fi which is cool and eery, and Slap back which sounds great. I have other delays on the board, a Rowin analog delay set to 300ms always on (and it does self-oscillate, really nice and comparable to Donner's Yellow Fall), a Donner Echo Square that I use for modulated delays on solos, but the ARP-87 is the main delay for dotted 8th, rhythmic reinforcement, and it just rocks. I primarily use it in Digital mode, and be warned there's no "time" knob, tempo must be tapped in. Speaking of tapping tempo in, the dual foot switch is a great idea but for me and my big foot the switches are too close to each other. I ended up ordering a cheap Mosky "tap tempo" switch that connects to the side jack (main jacks are top-mounted, plus!) and with the external switch this thing just slays. The light is really bright, like too bright, I covered it with a sticker now its fine. I tried it on bass and guitar. I personally liked it better on guitar, but totally functional on bass. You can control repeats a ton of different ways. It has more options than what I need it to do but I guess that's cool.
