Looking at the formed shape of the clamp, I would say you could fit a 3/4 inch visor. I'm enjoying the fact that they don't damage my visor like so many other clips. They are also quiet and my glasses are held tightly; unlike the plastic sunglass holders. And, these look great in my car - worth repeating.
