This cleaner removes lime scale build-up on all Zojirushi Electric Water Boilers & Warmers and Coffee Makers. It is 100% citric acid and non-toxic when used as directed. Includes four 1 oz. packets. Use one packet per cleaning.

Review: Very effective - Follow instructions all the way - Follow the instructions. It works perfectly. We currently live somewhere with VERY hard water; even the filtered water has lots of minerals. We use this once every 1-3 months (less in the summer months and more in cold weather) and it gets all of the minerals off our Zojirushu water boiler.
Review: Works very well! - I hadn't cleaned my zojirushi water heater once in the time I'd had it (several years), but there was beginning to be some buildup at the bottom and it was causing my tea to have odd hard water particles in it. I tried vinegar which did basically nothing and came across these in my search. WOW, it works well. Years of lime buildup gone in one use. I don't have particularly hard water where I live (and I use filtered water in my zojirushi anyways since the tea tastes better), but if you have harder water and haven't done this in years you may want to do several rounds of this to get back to a clean slate. The instructions were in English and very easy to follow. Basically just dissolve the powder in some warm water then dump it in and fill it up and boil. It's so easy! I'll be keeping these around as a staple from here on so I can run a cycle with this whenever I start getting buildup again. Highly recommend!

**Q: How do i use this to clean my zojirushi ec-dac50 coffee maker, which is a 5 cup coffee maker, and how much citric acid would i use?**
A: Thank you for your inquiry. We would recommend using 1 teaspoon of the Citric Acid cleaner. Detailed cleaning directions are available on page 14 of the instruction manual.

**Q: If i don't have a cleaning mode (i have a tatung brand hot pot), do i just boil the solution with the citric acid?**
A: You do not need a cleaning mode to clean it. You simply put it in with the water and use BOIL.   Then follow the instructions to let it soak. It will work just fine.    We also use this in coffee makers and any hot water appliance.

**Q: Can i use this in my glass ovente electric kettle?**
A: Yes you can use this in any product that Runs water through it and acquires a build up of minerals and scale. This cleaner will remove the build of minerals and clean the inside of any type of pot, kettle, coffee maker, hot water dispenser, etc.

**Q: How does this product differ from cd-kb03-j?**
A: It is the same product with Japanese packaging.  The instructions are in Japanese.  If you purchase it in Japanese please know how to use it before using it.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It DOES work!

To be honest, I was a bit scared to use this product because I saw some reviews that said there was a lot of foam and that some of the foam even came out of the boiler's lid. I was worried about that because I didn't want it to get damaged. I was also a bit worried that the product might not get rid of the slight mineral build-up (a bit of hard brown/reddish looking stain) that was on the bottom of the boiler. Certainly, my boiler did not look like some of what the other reviewers have since the water in my city is quite soft. I followed the instructions carefully such as making sure to use a warm cup of water and mix the citrus acid powder together. I poured the mixture into the boiler and filled it up with water. I made sure to use the "cleaning" option (you can do that by holding down the reboil button for a few seconds). You should see two lights blinking and the tiny display screen should show two lines going around in a square. Pretty much this should take almost two hours to complete. I just poured the water out once the lights stopped blinking (I think you can let it soak if you want) and refilled the boiler with fresh water. After the it's done boiling, you just need to dispense a cup of two of water from the appliance and throw out the water again. Then you fill up the boiler one last time, boil it, and you're done! I hope it works for you! This is a solid product that will keep my water clean and I am extremely satisfied. :)
