Rit DyeMore Liquid Dye, Sapphire Blue 7-Ounce

Working wonders, used it on a dress 👗 it worked great! Color was beautiful. Gloves recommended, it stains. Very easy to use!

I had a bright white UV shirt that cost about $60 back in 2022. When I went to wear it, it was simply too bright. In 2024 I decided to salvage the shirt, so I bought the blue dye. The shirt is made of synthetic mix of spandex and something else. I put 1 gallon of water, 1 teaspoon dish soap, and the whole 7 ounce bottle, and heated to 212F. Placed my long sleeved shirt for 15 minutes and stirring. The results were perfect, like a factory blue shirt. I used the remaining dye solution for a 2nd shirt of the same brand (and older one in light grey) and that one came out good too.

Purchase this to change the color of synthetic tapestries that I had purchased. Does a really good job. Color stays strong after several washings.

I was looking for a bright almost electric blue. This sapphire color came up. I thought; ooh ok, that sounds great. Well I did everything according to instructions, and it is not a bright blue. It's more consilk blue. Still very pretty, and my top looks nice. I just wish it was a deeper blue, like a sapphire truly is. So yes, I'm disappointed in the color result. Still it is easy to use, and doesn't take long. Gloves and a place you can dye clothes in, without worry of staining, is a must. All in all not bad. Still worth the shot in trying. Rit- maybe can you develop a deep electric type blue? Maybe even some brighter, deep colors like that?

I gave this five stars because I'm sure it's a great product. But fair warning to all my fellow lazy DIY girlies, if you only skim the directions and refuse to measure anything it's probably not going to go great. I used this for a Halloween costume so I didn't really care how it came out, it just needed to be blue. It came out blue, a bit splochy and unloved, but blue. At the end of the day I have no one to blame but myself and that's okay. Moral of the story, if you're dying something you care about I'd suggest following the instructions because winging it resulted in a solid 6/10

I wanted to make these cotton/polyester blend chinos royal blue, like the sweater behind. I used Rit sapphire for polyester first. No go. So then I did a new Rit dye bath of royal blue for cotton. No go. ... Well barely. They were a medium dark drab gray-blue work/chino color originally. And even though I followed the directions closely, the two types of dye did not move the color very far from the original. The pants are 35% poly and 65% cotton. So I neded up altering some old, too small, corduroys that were the right color, to wear with the sweater. And the drab blue looks good with some other stuff I already had in the closet.

Ich nutze das Färbemittel um mein Hochzeitskleid einzufärben, damit ich es als normales Kleid Anziehen kann. Mein Hochzeitskleid ist ein einfaches Kleid, welches fast komplett aus Polyester besteht. Ich habe es genau nach Anleitung gefärbt (es gibt extra YouTube Videos vom Hersteller): - das Kleid erst mit Seife warm gewaschen - in der Zeit genügend Wasser in einem großen Topf erhitzt bis es fast kocht. - die halbe Flasche Färbemittel (laut Hersteller reicht eine Flasche für 1kg Stoff, mein Kleid wiegt 500 Gramm) plus etwas Spülmittel in den Topf, anschließend das Kleid hinein. - jetzt ist es wichtig, die ersten 10 Minuten fast ständig zu rühren, bei mittlerer Hitze, damit sich die Farbe gut verteilt. - nach knapp 20 Minuten habe ich das Kleid herausgeholt, warm ausgespült bis das Wasser klar wurde. Danach im Kurzprogramm in der Waschmaschine kurz gewaschen. Das Ergebnis ist wirklich super, mir gefällt es sehr gut! Ich würde es jederzeit wieder bestellen 🙂

Rit dyemore is a very good product and works very well. Dye is in general an unknown quantity and how well it works depends on the fabric dyed, the quantity of the fabric and its original colour. If the fabric is coated or is of certain fibres even a synthetic dye will not penetrate it. This is not the fault of the product but the item being dyed. I have used numerous dyes on various fabrics and this dye works well on polyester and viscose.

Bonne coloration, très pigmentée mais attention aux frais de douanes, ils sont plus cher que le produits en lui même.

La tintura fa quanto promesso, il risultato finale dipende dal colore di partenza e dalla capacità di assorbimento del materiale oltre che dalla quantità di colore utilizzato. Ho seguito le istruzioni fornite (in inglese), il processo è abbastanza lungo ma dà ottimi risultati. Consiglio di usare guanti e mascherina e areare il locale perché l'odore è piuttosto forte.
