As far as the mount, the bottom pieces are too wide for the fitment into the ears of the main piece. Only by about half a millimeter or less, and with a little Dremmel work they will fit securely. However the ears on the bottom of the main mounting piece are not tall enough either so they don't clear the thickness of the handguard (no matter how thin your forend is) so there's no possible way for the pieces to fit together how they should. Without the fitment into the ears, you just have a simple clamping-type mount, only secured by the threads of the cheap screw...which I can't trust. I don't know what I expected with such a cheap price, but oh well not much loss here. If my ARs were budget builds, I might run these because they wouldn't get much abuse but I can't risk a mount popping off, dropping the weapon. Spend the extra bucks and get the Magpul mounts, they are rock solid.
