Review: Aluminum Boat Paint Stripping - This has worked pretty well on an older aluminum boat that had two layers of paint, The second layer was applied over a poorly prepared surface but it was still a thick layer in many places. What worked was this stripper with a wire wheel on both a drill and a wire wheel on a grinder. This stripper would soften the paint and the wire wheels would remove it easily. I did it outback/outside - it does make a mess with my method, but the removal was way faster than just the wire wheels without the stripper.

It doesn't remove exopy as easily as it says it needs to set in a bucket with a lid for a few days to break it down
