However, it is quite sturdy enough for what it is supposed to do, which is to sit unobtrusively in a corner and take in dirty clothes. I got it for my mom's bedroom. She's elderly and had been just tossing things everywhere. This has corralled the clutter nicely. I wash clothes twice a week so it is about the right size for that many clothes. My dad uses it too. When it's time to do laundry, I just grab the side handle and carry it downstairs to the laundry room. It has wheels if you'd rather roll it. The hamper is sturdy enough to carry easily when full of clothes, and doesn't hold enough clothes that it becomes awkward to carry. It is quite simple and simply pretty.
