I decided to give this a try to replace the old one, and it is so much easier. There is no assembly required at all. Just open it up, fold it out and make the connection on top. I tried doing it myself, and it does take quite a bit of force to get the 2 pieces to connect, so I couldn't do it at first. Instead, I flipped the hole thing upside down and was able to push down on it to make the connection, quite easily. One connection is all it takes. It seems sturdier than my old tent, and I like that it has 3 windows for good air circulation (my old one only had 2). It helps to let air through on windy days too, to avoid it blowing away. Also LOVE the sand/weight pockets to keep it down. Such a great idea. I used to have to search for big rocks to hold down the corners of my old one (the stakes never stayed firm enough in the sand, and the loops eventually broke anyway), and quickly fill it with our stuff to keep it in place. No more with this one. Also love the zip up front. My old one didn't have that either, and while we were able to do quick changes with the kids, with some fancy maneuvering, this now gives you full privacy. It's a great size (tall and wide), and I highly recommend this model over the other versions. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It has been a season *by L***R on January 1, 2014* This is a fantastic tent. I have used it by the lakes of Minnesota and the costal beaches. It goes up very easily (even in a heavy beach wind -if you put your back to the wind and open the tent away from you). Always put it away with the windows unzipped. This makes opening in wind much easier. On a sandy beach fill the pouches up with sand (on the sides and back) and it will stay put. I have used it heavily all season (and on vacation) seams, stays, and zippers are all working well. This tent protects from the sun, light rain, and wind very well. The people around me who watch me open it are amazed at how fast and easy it opens. The last point, the carrying bag is large enough to be able to stuff the tent in even when it is poorly packed. I have never zipped up the main flap and probably never will.Pros:Opens easilyPockets for sand as weight to hold downBig bag, easy to get the tent back in.Protects wellCons:if all of the windows are zipped shut, and the front is open, it can become a kite in a high wind. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wonderful Tent *by J***T on July 16, 2012* Pros:This tent is the easiest tent I've ever used.Takes just a few minutes to open which is great with 3 kids under 5 at the beach.Takes a little strength to pull hubs together to set up and pull apart to collapse. My wife finds it easier to hold it off the ground on it's side to assemble/collapse.The bag it comes in is ample to replace tent even when you don't wrap it up. Nice to save time when you have 3 tired little ones.The three large windows provide a nice ventilation.Ample room for stuff/5 people.Good quality materials.Cons:My wife is 5'6 and can't stand up in tent.Tent is VERY HOT at the beach when closed up for privacy/changing with widows/door closed.
