Of all the albums, this was the hands-down winner and has become the staple of our nap and bedtime routine. Initially, we started playing music for naptime only, and varied the CDs, but we noticed that this CD seemed to be most effective at lulling him to sleep, and we now use this for all naps and many bedtimes. My son will ask for this CD if he's having trouble falling asleep at night- even at his most cranky, he is soothed and calmed, and he knows that the music helps him. Most surprising to me is that I've come to really love this CD myself- I was a little skeptical that it would be schmaltzy, but it's really quite charming and sweet. It's a testament to the arrangers that I still want to listen to it after hearing it multiple times a day for two years. I even find myself singing along to the songs sometimes! We are actually buying a second copy for our new baby's room- I have a feeling this will be a lifelong family favorite. Her imagination had her turning the everyday creaks and bumps of the house into frightening thoughts. A fiend suggested some music and a little more lighting to the room where my two girls sleep. I was sceptical about whether music would help her to sleep or have her humming along and waking her little sister. This CD was perfect! Its soft tones and sweet melodies have greatly improved our bedtime routine. I also added some star projection lighting and a lavender air freshener to the room for the complete sleep spa experience. This CD is so relaxing I find my wanting to crawl into bed beside them. I have tons of music in my itunes & CDs-these by far are the best arranged with the best sound. I have the first Disney's Lullaby album (one with the little boy in yellow on the front with baby mickey), the second volume (One with baby in green with pooh bear & about to get the Christmas one. I hope they come out with more of these....they are amazingly done by Fred Mollin. I heard some flack from people's reviews on iTunes saying they didn't want the person who arranged the "Friday the 13th" music to serenade lullabies to their child. I have to say. Its obvious the man is talented & its just a set of movies he was hired to write a score for people. He was picked because he's very good---just listen to them! I like to listen to them myself after a long, hard day or when I am sick & wanting to take my mind off being in bed with something yucky. This should be in your lullaby library. I've been pretty picky as to what I put on my ipod in my son's room...no annoying plinky sounding music or overly boisterous.
