These large hard masks are always in the trunk of my car, and would not be readily available if I were to encounter someone in need of CPR in a mall or airport, for example. In a training session last week, an EMT showed us this product. I immediately ordered the 10-pack. A couple of these kits take up little room in my purse, and are always with me when I'm out. Men can carry them comfortably in a pocket. I've given several to family and friends. While not all these individuals are trained in CPR, they could provide them to a responder in an emergency situation who IS trained; such a person would be very appreciative, and probably more inclined to deliver the life-saving technique. Any CPR-trained individual should always have one or more available for his/her own protection. I'll be ordering more. The vendor provided excellent service and communications. The quantity I received for the price was great, and allowed me to attach one of these masks to each set of the duty keys the officers carried with them. Fortunately, myself nor anyone I worked with ever had to use the mask so I cannot attest to how well they would actually work. Inspecting one of the masks they look like your typical micro CPR mask. These are only meant for single-use so I don't expect the outer pouch to last forever, but they seemed to hold up fine for the first six months having them before I left that job. I hope I never need to use this product, but in terms of preparedness it it a great thing to have. It is compact enough to not be an annoying addition to the gazillion of store/gas/library/health club key cards I carry along with me and with the package of 10 I was able to give a couple to a friend and put the others in my car first aid kit and home medicine cabinet for easy access. The red packaging and label means it is easily indentifiable should I need to ask someone to pass it me in an emergency.
