The raised top and bottom edges provide the protection equivalent to full cases, but this one keeps the phone very thin to handle with the open sides, and still protects the back, with enough clarity so you can still see the back of the phone.. I also only bought Ringke cases before because I really like having a lanyard attached to the phone to prevent accidental drops. The larger phones do require that added security for handling. Theoretically this should be adequate protection for my needs, but of course I would not drop my phone to test it. Only time will tell how well the phone survives a drop, but theoretically this is equivalent to previous cases I have gotten, and I am quite happy with how this looks. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good but uncomfortable to hold *by Z***H on Reviewed in the United States on April 15, 2020* The best part about this case is that it partly feels like you have no case on the sides while still receiving protection all around because the corners will take the hits. No fingerprints on the back is a plus.The problem with this case is that it isn't comfortable to hold. The corners still out just enough to make it feel awkward if your hand is partly on the phone and partly on the case. It also hurts if you use your pinky under the charging port.Not the case for me personally but I think others might enjoy it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great case with a solid, smart build *by S***T on Reviewed in the United States on June 23, 2019* This case fits perfectly and looks just as it does in the photos. It doesn't cover the sides but that is one part of the phone that is the strongest from the frame and receives fewer scratches and bumps. The corners are the most important to protect and that's what this case does. The back holds snug to the phone so there's not a huge amount of worry that stuff will get in. I'm sure dust and lint will over time but it's easy to pull off and clean. Lastly the build quality is actually pretty solid, it doesn't feel like super cheap plastic and rubber so that's great.
