I'm not sure if the foot for the other camera brands is better (because Sony has the worst flash connection ever) but the flash fell out of the hot shoe on a job last night and bounced on the floor. The flash still worked but the right edge of the flash foot that slides into the camera hot shoe broke clean off. It happened to a small Sony branded flash to. Recycle time was fast and output was consistent all day long.
