Will buy again
Bought this to replace a previous lost Gerber EDC knife. For the day I had it, I loved it. Sharp, perfectly sized, felt so solid. Lost it within 24 hours. 10/10 will buy again because it felt good when I did know where it was.

Toothpick for a Squirrel
Well, howdy there, folks! Let me tell ya 'bout this little piece of steel I picked up. Now, I’ve always been a massive fan of Gerber. They just know how to make a tool that works as hard as a mule. But when I first cracked open the package on the Gerber Paraframe Mini, I ain't gonna lie, my heart sank a bit. I looked at it and thought, "Lord have mercy, what is this? A toothpick for a squirrel?" It was just so durn small! I felt like I'd been short-changed.But boy, howdy, was I wrong.Once I started carrying it around the farm and putting it to work, I fell head over heels. It turns out, that tiny size is its absolute best feature. When the summer heat hits and I’m kicking around in my lightweight shorts or hitting the trail in my jogging pants, this little fella is a godsend. Regular knives pull your pants straight down to your ankles, but not this one. At a mere 1.4 ounces, it clips on, weighs next to nothing, and completely disappears. You can't see a bulge, and no one even knows you're packing steel. It turns out it's just downright perfect for everyday chores. Gerber went and proved me wrong again with this Gerber Paraframe Mini, and I couldn't be happier about it!

This knife is a must have for all ladies, it's small and discreet.
I've been looking for a small knife to add to my keychain that wasn't big, bulky, or intimidating. This little Gerber Paraframe Mini is perfect. It is incredibly lightweight—I honestly forget it's there until I need it. The open frame design looks cool, but it also means there's less metal, so it weighs practically nothing. It's been a lifesaver for all those little daily tasks: opening Amazon boxes, cutting twine, slicing an apple at lunch, you name it. The blade is sharp right out of the package and the locking mechanism feels solid and secure, so I'm not worried about it accidentally closing on my fingers. It's not a heavy-duty survival knife, and it's not meant to be. It's the perfect small, reliable blade to have on you when you unexpectedly need one.

For the city dweller, a little knife at a GREAT value.
Intro: I purchased this knife in February of 2015 after retiring an abused CRKT Pazoda. Although I was initially concerned about the Gerber Paraframe Mini's nail nick opening and small size of the blade (blade length: ~2.2"), I've come to love this little knife after carrying it everyday for 30 months. Living around a big city, I've found that I don't need a larger knife and that this little Gerber is more than capable for most of my light daily knife tasks (e.g., opening boxes, letters, retail packaging, cigars, etc.). Size, shape, ease of carry, use: The Gerber is small enough that I rarely notice it sitting in my pocket and it generally stays out of the way if I need to reach in to grab something else; an aspect of EDC knives that I didn't really appreciate until I started carrying a knife this small. The small size also lends itself to nail nick opening: there are no thumb studs or cutout holes that would require the spine to protrude out from the handle in the closed position (compared to, e.g., many Spyderco knives), allowing this Gerber to have a thin and narrow profile. And despite my initial concern about not being able to deploy the knife one-handed, I've since concluded that to be a non-issue and this knife has convinced me to seriously consider nail nick knives for future EDC knives. One thing I don't like about the Gerber Mini is that the pocket clip doesn't "ride deep" such that the knife almost disappears when clipped into a pocket, but that's just me and such pocket clips may not matter to you. Blade: There's nothing all that special about the blade but nevertheless I've found that the knife is a perfectly adequate cutter. In fact, this knife went over a year without sharpening and it still cut okay for my average daily tasks. I recently used a pull through sharpener and the edge is now serviceable. I don't know what specific type of steel they are using but it's worked well thus far. Final thoughts: If your primary criteria for a knife is that it's small, stays out of the way, and is inexpensive, but you put little emphasis for a larger knife with quick deploy, the strongest type of lock, or the latest and greatest steel, take a good look at the Gerber Paraframe Mini. I've not come across many knives that will give you more bang for your buck than this Gerber, assuming the "bang" you're looking for is the benefits I've discussed above. As long as you understand the limitations and strengths of this little knife, and you think it will suit your needs, I would recommend this knife ESPECIALLY given the price. 4.5/5

Nice EDC! Useful, sharp, and durable
Great little knife! Durable too. It arrived plenty sharp and has been put through the paces gardening, opening boxes, building things, etc with no problems. I've cut that thick football field turf with it too, no hesitation from the knife. It's also more comfortable in my pocket than my keys! Big win. I'm actually on here right now to buy the big version so I can have one for larger jobs too.

Safe and great for a teen at a camp out!!
My son had the exact knife years ago and it was lost. We bought him this new one and he loves it. We actually found his old one as his grandmother, my bloomin mother in law had taken it claiming it wasn’t safe for a 15 year old to have. She’s a pain in the butt so ignore her, this is great for a teenager to have. He’s taken it to camp outs, sharpened wood, and he uses it to open every Lego package he gets. It stays sharp, has a safety clip on so it won’t just open randomly. It’s small, light weight, and regardless what my mother in law says, it’s safer than her meat spagetti which hits your stomach harder than a punch to the gut!!

Two handed open
Almost perfect, but sadly this knife doesn't have a flipper, making it a two hand open.

Best small pocket knife!
Best small pocket knife I can find. Note: In any goverment office any knives are not allowed! I had to throw away my 2 year old Gerber (Same model) that I always had in my pocket. Walked into an IRS Assistance office to verify that I was indeed who I am... The guard had nothing but understanding when he said I needed to get rid of the knife. This knife has allowed me to have something ready at family parties, also when a package is delivered and other occasions. Again best poocket knife ever, really sharp, small and easy to open and close - but it will stay closed in the pocket!

Excelente mini cuchillo

Long lasting torque screws
I am really impressed with this little knife from gerber. The torque screws on this knife are different than on other knifes, they will not wear off from tightening and loosing them to much. The knife is quality and well made. Easily slips into your pocket or clips onto your gear

Must have
