Review: So far has been a very comfortable work boot. - Honestly, I don’t buy Skechers for their looks, I buy them for comfort. However, these are the first Skechers boots that I think look really great. And not only do they look great, but they are super comfortable too. This is the first pair of shoes that I’ve bought online as I always prefer to try them on in store first. But after having a difficult time finding a good pair of boots in stores around my area, I decided to take a chance on these boots when I saw them on desertcart, and I am so glad that I did. I work for Dish Network as a residential installation Technicinan, so I need a work boot that’s durable, comfortable to wear 10-12 hours a day, resilient to all weather conditions, slip resistant, and safe for climbing up and down and working from ladders all day. These boots definitely tic all of those boxes. With the relaxed fit and light weight, my feet feel really good by the end of the day. I have arthritis in both my big toes, most other boots I’ve worn usually make work painful by the end of the day, but so far these boots have really kept me nearly pain free by the end of the day. They also allow a good range of motion, which is important in my line of work as I need to get into some really awkward and uncomfortable positions when pulling cable through a dank crawl space or tight attic space. There’s even plenty of room for thicker winter socks on those extra cold days without losing any comfort. One downside of the relaxed fit that some might not like is the fact that there’s not a huge amount of ankle support. For me I prefer the wider range of motion in my ankles as opposed to a tighter more supportive feel around my ankles. And best of all, there’s really no break-in period needed. They were comfortable and ready to wear for work right from the get-go. The one item that I can’t fully comment on just yet is the durability of these boots as I haven’t worn them long enough to really say how durable they are. However, I’ve always found Skechers to last me quite a long time before needing replaced, and I expect these boots to have the same quality materials as all of my past Skechers boots have had. I have not had a chance to fully submerge them in a puddle of water either, but I have worn them in the rain and snow, and they have kept my feet warm and dry. I am extremely happy with these boots, and so far I would buy a 2nd pair. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for ankle injuries.

Extremely comfortable boots out of the box, but better with two quick changes and great if you've had ankle or foot injuries. I had my ankle crushed by a 20 ton marina lift in 2024 and as a result I deal with consistent pain. There are internal plates and pins everywhere and so far these are the best boots I've found for providing the support that makes it possible to comfortably stand and walk all day without having to compromise on the cushioning that prevents painful pressing on the medical hardware. Slide a set of upgraded insoles into this and it's genuinely an excellent orthopedic boot. That is if you have a situation where you need solid support all around. Some people need cushioning in the outsole, and if you're one of those people, these might not be for you as the outsole is entirely rubber. On top of the other positive things to say, if you're wearing business or semi-formal attire, these look like passable dress shoes under slacks or khakis when you polish them. I went from a heavy security job to formal teaching and didn't change boots because they fit the bill for both. It's always good when you can keep what makes you comfortable. Cons: The only real downsides to these are the included laces (which untie easily), how thin the memory foam insoles are, and the fact that the leather is laminated leather, not real leather (this is part of why they shine extremely well, but it's a pro/con kind of feature). If you work with harsh chemicals, or even ones that simply dry materials out or have petroleum distillates like some polishing compounds, these boots are not resistant and the outer layer will begin to peel pretty easily. I've tried to find full leather counterparts to these boots because I also operate a detailing business on the side and that has destroyed a pair or two. But no luck so far. I keep coming back for the comfort though and I think that speaks volumes on that part. Long story short: Buy these if you want unmatched comfort for your ankles after a couple of small changes. Don't buy these if you're working with harsh chemicals that may come in contact with them.
