It didn't turn on when it was supposed to when I was away on vacation and my tomatoes almost died. I've since tested and used several times with no problems. I'm not sure why the time had changed and my programmed time got erased previously but I've used it several times since and the clock time has stayed correct, as well as my programmed watering times. It's also very durable. I had thrown it across my yard when I first had issues with it (was a little upset about my tomatoes not getting water) and the thing held up in one piece. I'm glad it's working the way it's supposed to now. Edit: I think direct sunlight negatively affects operation, it's probably trapping heat behind the clear plastic cover. I was getting a low battery indicator and clock time was resetting. I covered the face of it with opaque white plastic wrap to deflect heat and so far, working better after a several weeks of testing with it covered. Edit 2: I have three of these now, all working flawlessly, even with several hot weeks over the summer. I protected them all from direct sunlight with white plastic wrap (panda paper). Timer is dying. The numbers are not fully visible anymore so unable to program timer anymore. The timer is exposed to sun and rain so not sure if thats the reason it hasn't last so long. Battery compartment is now a pain to open also. ***Update 11.20.22. Customer service is great. they responded to me and sent me a replacement. New one is working just as good as the 1st. If it leaks, make sure to use plumber's tape. **Worked fine when purchased in April. Leaks little water but after using plumbers tape, leaking was minimal. But, just this weekend, when I checked on the sprinkler timer, it stopped working. Put in new fresh batteries and still nothing comes up on the screen. I emailed the company directly as return window on Amazon is closed. We will see if they help out at all.
