Works Well – Helped Stop a Minor Leak
I used the Prestone AS262 Power Steering Fluid with Stop Leak on my older vehicle that had a small power steering leak, and it made a noticeable difference. After adding the fluid, the noise reduced, steering felt smoother, and the leak slowed significantly over the next few days. The product is easy to use—just pour it directly into the power steering reservoir. It mixes well with existing fluid and didn’t cause any issues. For fixing leaks, not for new pumps
Only a last ditch ditch effort for leaks, ie don't use this in a new pump! This might work out for a small air gap in a very old car, or a high mileage car, or just a bad water pump- but don't buy this product if you have a new water pump... just get the OEM fluid is the whole point of writing this review. This brand might have normal power steering fluid- but this here, is the last ditch effort for fixing leaks or noise but I would not recommend for a new pump.
