I'd estimate it weighs about 3/4 of a pound. **Q: Does it have a non-skid bottom (rubber or other material)?** A: It has 4 little pads that are somewhat non-skid. It still slides on my smooth desktop but not on textured surfaces. Does not sharpen pencils though; mine just chewed them up...still with no point. **Q: does it work well with prismacolor color pencils?** A: When I bought my pencils I researched and found the following: Sharpen a few regular graphite pencils between times when you sharpen some Prisma because Prisma colored pencils have such a high wax content, they often get a build up in the sharpener and slow it down. By sharpening a graphite/ regular pencil sometimes it helps keep the build up to minimum and sharpener lasts longer. I would suggest getting a sharpener designed for Prisma if you will use them exclusively. **Q: Has anyone used this on eyebrow or liner pencils...that's what I'd be using it for** A: I haven't used it for liner or eyebrow pencils but you do have to hold the pencil down pretty hard for it to sharpen and I think that would mash the soft tip of a liner pencil. Also, the liner would probably gunk up the blades and I don't see a way to clean the blades with out ruining the unit.
