However, depending on the degree of “smoothness” or lack of texture of the mold itself, this release agent is thick enough to leave a slight texture behind, ( on your finished casting). So,… if your going for a mirror finish there may be better products out there or you could rely on the silicone itself, as silicone does not stick to epoxy readily ( as long as the exothermic reaction does not get too hot).
