Is this suitable for backpacking?

You can take this backpacking! It will depend on how much weight you are wanting to bring on your trip!

The poles stick out 2 inches. I have measured the fabric and it is 185cm, under 73 inches long. What should i do? Video doesnt help with this

When held up beside the fabric the poles are longer, however they need to be to give the fabric the rigidity it needs to provide you with enough support. The fabric has a tab at the open end which you use to pull it tight as you force the pole up into the pocket. It will stretch sufficiently to pop it in, though admittedly it is a tight fit, and those without a strong grip will struggle. I have used my bed half a dozen times now and still struggle, despite having strong hands, but that's the way it is designed. Not ideal, but persevere and hopefully you will find the technique. Good luck.

Gave been sent dufferent as pictured. Do you have the one advertised as it is wider and constructed different??

I was sent one as shown and advertised.

Where can i buy rubber non slip wedges to level the bed when camping on a slope?

Hello Cathy as a fellow owner of this marvellous cot may I suggest home made wooden wedges slipped inside an old bicycle inner tube. Rubber wedges would be better but I have never seen them. Good luck either way and regards from Ireland.
