Worked perfectly; saved me from buying a replacement air mattress.
My kids had been jumping on our queen size air mattress and caused a small tear near a seam. I immediately saw dollar signs as I thought of the cost of replacing the air mattress. Then, I did some searching on Amazon.com and found this repair kit and noticed it was highly recommended. Having used other patch kits for inflatable items, I was skeptical whether the adhesive and patch would be strong enough to withstand the pressure of two adults on a queensize air mattress, but I figured it was worth the money if it saved me from replacing the mattress. I followed the instructions on the package and cut a 4" by 4" square (rounded the corners) for a hole about 1/2" long. I made sure to use plenty of the adhesive, and then placed a weight over top of the patch to make sure that it remained in contact with the air mattress. I think this is critical as the adhesive is very slippery and the patch has a tendency to re-roll while the adhesive is drying. I also placed a plastic sandwich bag between the patch and the weight to make sure any adhesive that came out from under the patch wouldn't glue the weight to the patch. After 24 hours, I removed the weight and plastic bag (which came off easily) and inflated the mattress. The patch held, and I didn't notice any stretching or air leaking. The mattress held air for four consecutive nights without needing to be reinflated! This product worked well and saved me the cost of replacing the mattress. I recommend this product! Also, I recommend cutting a generous sized patch, using plenty of adhesive, and using a weight (20 lbs) to keep the patch firmly in contact with the item being repaired for the full 24 hours it takes for the adhesive to dry.

Great product would order again
I had a hole in my air mattress that I needed to patch since it's currently my bed until I can afford a real mattress. After searching I found this product and got it within 2 days (thank you Amazon prime). Following the directions I applied a small piece of vinyl to the top of the mattress with a SMALL amount of the glue. Let me tell you 1/2 an ounce is PLENTY for small holes and patches. The only downside to the glue is that it's very runny so be careful not to apply too much because it will go everywhere. But after letting it dry for a full 24 hours I was able to put air back into my mattress and so far so good. No issues with it yet. It holds strong and it bonded well. The vinyl sent with it is clear so if you're worried about color matching, don't.

Successful repair to an air mattress.
I used this repair kit to repair a 1/2 inch long tear in an air mattress. I tried using a repair kit that came with air mattress, but it didn't work at all. I was a little skeptical this kit would work as the tear was in an area that was not very flat and in a really difficult area to repair. I first applied some thin layers of adhesive right above the tear, keeping the torn edges as close together as possible. I then cut a circular patch from the vinyl extending about 3/4 inch beyond the tear. I used the adhesive to apply the vinyl patch. It was difficult as the surface was not flat and I did my best to keep the vinyl patch smoothed to the surface to keep any wrinkles from forming, which may have resulted in a leak. After giving time for the adhesive to cure, I inflated the mattress and it worked perfectly! The mattress has been inflated/deflated several times since then and there seems to be no air leakage.

Finicky application and but overall works
This product I don't think is extremely effective. It took me three different "attempts" (aka patches) to fix two pinholes. The liquid took an extremely long time to dry, the vinyl for replacement was actually good so no complaints about that, and then I found myself needing alot more liquid than the package made it seem on the instructions. For those who are going to be purchasing this product in the future, I recommend spreading the liquid on the surface (if you can) and then placing the vinyl patch on top and using a credit card or flat surface to really get a smooth application, because it will not work and be spotty otherwise. Overall it did end up getting the job done that I needed, so kudos to that

Works like a charm.
My air mattress had been jumped on by my kids and go figure I went to sleep on it one night and I could hear a hiss as I slowly slunk down to the ground. I have a Queen Sized Mattress with a Headboard so it's a big one and really good quality. I cut a piece of this Vinyl and put the glue around and patted it on and let it set for a night. I was able to sleep on the bed that evening with it just like new! I have only slept on the mattress twice since then, but I can't imagine that it won't be smooth sailing from here. Perfect to fix the holes in your air mattress, just use as instructed on the directions and don't get on your mattress too soon after application.

Boxer Adhesives Vinyl - Did NOT work at all!!!
Unfortunately...this did not work for our air mattress. We followed the instructions (although there were not many and not many needed...). We had an extremely small pinhole, right in the middle of the air mattress. It was very easy to reach and on a flat surface. It was in a perfect place to fix a hole like this. We tried just using a little of the adhesive and let that dry. It continued to leak air. We then smoothed it out, cut out a piece of the vinyl, added adhesive to the vinyl and finally smoothed it onto the mattress. We used a plastic scraper to smooth out any holes, let it dry for 36 hours, then added more air. With no pressure added to the mattress, you could hear the air leaking right away. I prepped this with way more caution than was needed and it still leaked air. Not sure what else I could do. It was definitely a waste of time and money. Maybe they will refund my money but I really doubt it. Hope this review helps...Thanks.
