So if you are trying to create some mood lighting or a candle lit ambience, this is probably not the way to go. However if you are a hobbyist doing precision work and need a good clear light to examine your work, this is the bulb. For myself, I use several on those long dark nights of winter to get me going in the morning. The blue white light is like strong black coffee for my brain. But, I don't recommend blue lights when trying to fall asleep. If you think you have SAD (seasonal affective disorder) see your doctor. I am not a doctor.
