This is a potted blackberry bush that I care for along with a raspberry bush, blueberry bush, and a few others. Finally, it stopped producing new ones and was just a single little shoot. I noticed movement in the soil (I believe it was a combination of some type of caterpillar and little black round beetles). Within a day of dusting the soil, I noticed there was less movement, within 2 days, I found a dead bug, and within 3-4 days, I noticed the beginnings of leaves forming on a NEW shoot!!
