Calicium carbide, when mixed with water creates acetylene gas. This stuff comes in small gravel sized chunks so you may need to refine it a little with a mortar and pestle. I know they used to sell the cannon stuff in a paste of some sort, but I am unsure of the exact compound. **Q: Are ther any residual chemicals are left in the pineapple fruit?** A: it has been said if you drop a small piece of carbide into the top of a pineapple plant it will start the flower and eventually the pineapple to grow I've tried it and i will say it works most of the time if not all of the time.
