### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Gives the much maligned smith machine a well deserved positive boost

There is a a lot worth reading here and the author goes in alot deeper and more extensively on smith machine usage followed by a very extensive survey of training methods and programs. Was very positively surprised by the quality of this book. I personally have a use for this as a gym owner…training compete beginners, I agree with author that you’re better off getting them going on the Smith and using the plate load one function machines.You can migrate to actual barbells when they handle the mechanics of heavy loading…before that I think the smith is a good tool. This book added much to my limited view of its use.
