Worked out that the predrilled holes on one side piece were in the wrong place. They were higher so when assembling a tape measure will show correct position. Once that was corrected I was very pleased with the table. The worse thing about this item is that the corners are very sharp and everyone had scratched legs after a few days of manoeuvring around it.
