Review: Cheap Homebrew Device - If you're looking for a cheap, easy way to get into playing DS homebrews, then this is the product for you. The 128MB card included holds a good amount oof videos, mp3s and games, but you'll probably want to pick up an extra 2GB card. Very easy to set up, even on a Mac running OS X. I'll probably never need to buy a new DS game again because of the great free (legal) stuff out there! Review: Decent, once you learn how to use it... - Well, I'm going to have to go to an *extent* with what the others have written here: This is a budget card for the DS, barely worthwhile on its own. Yes, you can watch movies, play homebrews, and the like, but there's no built-in support for reading/writing to the flash card. That changed, as of late, with the addition of a third-party DLDI driver. DLDI allows you to run homebrews that require access to the flash memory, including other MP3 players (such as the exceptional Moonshell), which circumvent any problems with the card itself. Thus, for anyone who wants to do a bit of digging, this is an excellent slot-1 device for whatever purposes you have in mind. Overall, I'd suggest it, though not for someone who just wants to drop a bunch of files on a MicroSD card and play them.

uh-uh, don't get this one!
This thing is pretty much useless. It's ghetto. The only thing that I was able to download onto it was music and the songs sounded like they were skipping when I played it back on my DS. It says that it comes w/ 25 games on a disc but I haven't found them. Maybe it's just too complex, but I have no problem downloading onto MP3 players or my psp. Thank God I didn't waste too much $$$ on this piece of art. My advice is to buy a Nintendo lisenced product, or find a similar one with good reviews. I tried to put pictures on it and the DS screen has the pic's title with a question mark above it. WTF? (It's not your fault NDS, I still love you.)

An incredible DS cartridge (Once you know how to use it)
Okay, so it doesn't really play all the homebrew games you'd desire, and yes, the music may be at low quality...but it can play most of the homebrew games you download onto it. It's also fun playing downloaded DS demos (ROM format, though) on it, like Brain Age 2 and Mario Kart DS. You can go look for those if you're bored. The best thing to download onto Games 'n Music is a NES emulator that's playable on it. That emulator is nesDS. However, you would need NES ROMs to download, too. But once you're done, VOILA! You now have all the NES game you wish to play. However, it doesn't play pirated games, so don't try it. It can play hacks, though... But still, think about it: Play games like MegaMan, Contra, Super Mario Bros, Metroid, Zelda, TMNT 2: The Arcade Game, and Batman all on this little cartridge! The possibilities of your huge game library are endless! Also, the NES ROMs would range in size from a few kilobytes to 1 megabyte, so you have PLENTY more room to cover in the cartridge. I also recall a Sega Master System and Game Gear emulator. What Sega fan wouldn't love to play the 8-Bit Sonics on the DS, and for over 2 hours of battery too? Overall, if you can find just one thing you'd love playing around with in Games 'n Music, you're gonna be playing that for a LONG while. My activity on it is obviously the portable NES emulator. Note: If your USB 2.0 Card Reader is busted, try to find a good MicroSD card reader at a local store or here on Amazon.

Decieving, but for what it does it works
The product is fine- works well, has limited but upgradeable memory, and overall works as advertised. The only hangup is it only plays Homebrew games, which it doesn't advertise. But if you know this, you can still have fun with it.

This was good in the past.
Would not recommend buying nowadays; back then I really digged this. R4 or some other flashcart i'd recommend.
